Dr. Heather Haley is a board-certified dermatologist. She specializes in skin cancer prevention and treatment, as well as minimally invasive cosmetic procedures. She is experienced in surgical and non-surgical skin-cancer therapies, as well as the diagnosis and treatment of skin abnormalities, including rosacea and acne.

Because of her extensive experience in cosmetic dermatology, patients seek her advice and treatment on a variety of anti-aging procedures. Dr. Haley specializes in Botox Cosmetic, dermal fillers, and care of sun damaged skin. Patients enjoy the extra time she spends on counseling and educating them about their options.

Dr. Haley was born and raised in Waynesboro, MS. She graduated summa cum laude from the University of Alabama in 1992 with a BS in Microbiology. She was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority and numerous academic honorary organizations.

She received her MD from The University of Alabama School of Medicine in Birmingham in 1998. Dr. Haley finished in the top 20 of her medical school class and was of member of the AOA Medical Honorary Society. She completed her residency in Dermatology at the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 2003. After residency, she moved to Fairhope to open Haley Dermatology in October 2003. Dr. Haley is married to her husband, Chris, and has 3 children.

She is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology, Women’s Dermatologic Society and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgeons.

Laura Cepeda, MD

Board-Certified Dermatologist

Laura Tucker Cepeda, M.D. was raised in Fairhope, Alabama. She is a graduate of the Alabama School of Mathematics and Science and Auburn University where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelors of Industrial and Systems Engineering. During her time at Auburn she was a member of the Honors Program, Tau Beta Pi Engineering Honors Society, Alpha Pi Mu ISE Honor Society, Pi Beta Phi social sorority, and received numerous scholarships.

Dr. Cepeda attended The University of South Alabama College Of Medicine where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. After graduating from medical school she completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the University of South Alabama Medical Center.

In 2004, Dr. Cepeda and her husband moved to New York for her dermatology residency and his pediatric residency. She received her board certification in dermatology after graduating in 2007 from the New York Medical College Dermatology Residency. She then spent a year completing a Mohs Surgery and Procedural Dermatology fellowship at the State University of New York in Brooklyn.

Dr. Cepeda is a member of the American College of Mohs Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology,
American Medical Association, American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and Women's Dermatologic
Society.

Margrette Lane, PA

Board-Certified Physician Assistant

Ms. Lane graduated from Davidson College in 1998 and the University of Alabama at Birmingham Surgical Physician Assistant Program in 2001. Her clinical training focused on plastic surgery. She then went to work for a Mohs surgeon in Florida and gained extensive surgical experience with skin cancers. She started with Dr. Haley in 2003.

Ms. Lane is highly qualified and experienced in diagnosing a variety of dermatological conditions. She is currently seeing her own patients, facilitating our patients’ ability to see a qualified healthcare provider for dermatology. Ms. Lane also assists Dr. Haley and Dr. Sobera with their surgical procedures.
